Yes, Delaware has executed a total of 14 people since 1976.
What is my governor's position on the death penalty?
Governor Ruth Ann Minner (D) has no position on record at this time for this issue. In 2003 she was asked to sign a bill that would elliminate the judge's power to hand down death sentences, and she said that she would sign it after seeking the advice of the state Supreme Court.
How many people are on Death Row in my state?
There are currently 19 prisoners on Death Row in Delaware. Of the 19 Death Row prisoners, 6 are black, 10 are white and 3 are Latino.
