The Deadline Audience Initiative

Arts Engine, Inc., launched a national initiative using the NBC Deadline broadcast to promote a broad-based national discussion on the death penalty. The filmmakers are collaborating with the Arts Engine outreach web site MediaRights to create a multi-pronged plan to reach new audiences. Through a combination of an interactive, online outreach campaign, regional workshops, and a series of pre- and post-broadcast community events, The Deadline Audience Initiative will motivate ordinary Americans to reevaluate their positions on the death penalty and come to a more informed conclusion about the full ramifications of being "tough on crime".

Working Films

Working Films is a national organization that links independent filmmaking with community education and grassroots organizing to ensure that social and environmental issue documentary films reach their fullest potential. Their unique community-based outreach campaigns have created new models for the field on documentary distribution, outreach and education strategies that support measurable impact. With a diverse staff and board, they are an innovative and strategic resource for independent documentaries, serving as strategists, consultants and community builders.

Working Films is coordinating outreach with Deadline in North Carolina, Tennessee, and New Mexico, working with moratorium and anti-death penalty organizers to develop strategic plans for incorporating the film into their ongoing efforts.

Reentry National Media Outreach Campaign

This campaign is designed to support the work of community and faith-based organizations by offering media resources that will facilitate community discussion and decision making about solution-based reentry programs.
